Drum roll please! The most talked about color of 2018 by designers everywhere is green! Green is all the excitement in this years interior design trends because it can be used in so many different ways; bright green, dark green, in-between green..the options are endless. I want to focus specifically on sage first, a greyish green hue that is a soft muted color, and how you can decorate and neutralize your home with this beautiful color.

In a bedroom, sage blends so seamlessly with almost any color. It matches wood, metallic, simple and distressed fabrics. That includes most furniture and fabrics you would find in a bedroom. Start with pops of sage in a dresser, a vintage-style chest, or a simple blanket over your bed or couch to test just how perfect this color really is.

Sage on kitchen cabinets paired with white counter tops and gold accents is sure to make a statement, but nothing too bold. (If your looking for bold- keep on reading!) To keep the colors of your kitchen in harmony add a complimentary color to the bits of surrounding walls between the cabinets, and accent with different shades of that color as well! Overall, Sage green is a rather soft and welcoming color that is sure to look right in any space.

Not about the sage? Crave something more bold? This one is for you. Check out Kelly Green. Kelly Green is a strong and vibrant yellow-green. Add this color to a wall, fill the room with white or light colored furnishings, add some blue and green accents, and you have a room full of cheer! Many designers are ditching the ordinary colors and going with this trendy green to fill a room with extra personality instead.

Lastly, let’s discuss the tropical wallpapers. This green trend is a little less about the bright green and more about the lush, exciting greens. It makes a great statement wall when added to natural materials, and whites in a room. This pattern also makes the perfect accent. Add it to pillows, blankets, or bring tropical leaves in vases and the room will really come to life all on its own.
