Sherwin-Williams 2017 Colormix – NOIR Palette

Sherwin-Williams Colormix 2017 color collection is out. These are four color palettes that Sherwin-Williams feels reflect the new spirituality, cultural flux, feisty self-expression, and soulful nostalgia of our times. In today’s post, we’ll look at the first two palettes, NOIR and HOLISTIC.

Photo SourceNOIR consists of 10 mostly bold colors that mimic vine-ripe fruits, Nordic blues, moody neutrals, and golden yellows. Could you see these jewel-tone colors used in accessories in a white room?

In the living room below, you can see how some of the colors of the NOIR palette complement one another. The walls are Anchors Aweigh, SW 9179, a dark nautical blue; the doors wear a rich green hue called Cascades, SW7623; while the wall above the fireplace sports a fun blue-green color named Marea Baja, SW9185. Last but not least, the fireplace surround shows off the color Spatial White, SW6259, which appears to look like light gray. What other colors from this palette can you see in this room?

Sherwin-Williams 2017 Colormix – HOLISTIC Palette

The next palette, HOLISTIC, is a bit more subdued and reflects our technological move further into the “cloud”, sustainable design, and doing good worldwide. Artic neutrals, blush roses, and wild browns comprise the 10 colors in this softer palette.

In the kitchen below, one wall showcases Mountain Air, SW6224, a soft blue, while the adjoining wall makes a statement in Deep Forest Brown, SW 9175. Notice some of the other colors in the room accessories. Don’t these colors enhance this mid-century look?
