PANTONE 16-1546 Living Coral
It’s only fitting that this year’s color of the year can be seen rising out of the water on any of our Jacksonville beaches. Its calming color appears in natural settings all around us, but I’m here to tell you that it can be incorporated in any Jacksonville home regardless if a beach theme is your design preference.

Interior designers all over Jacksonville are embracing its orangey pink hues in shades ranging from dark to light to compliment their latest designs. This year’s color, named for the beautiful sea plants that line the coral reefs, will add a spectacular color explosion to any room.
Coral works so well with so many other colors that I just had to share three of my favorite color combinations.
The Color of the Ocean – Coral, and Turquoise
Nothing says beach more than the vibrant colors of turquoise and coral. Their romantic hues give any room a fresh and lively feel. Combined with neutral shades of tan, cream or beige this color combination is perfect for a beach-themed room. If you choose to use this color combination, use natural colors as a secondary color and save the bright and fun colors of coral and turquoise as your primary accent color.
Add a Splash of Pink – Coral, and Raspberry
Who would have thought that these two colors could make such a beautiful statement? Raspberry and coral marry well together as they add the look of spring and summer whenever they are paired. There is no better way to celebrate coral than to surround it with shades of pink! In this beautifully designed bathroom, coral makes a bold statement while the different shades of pink surround the room leaving it with a fresh and summery feel.
An Underwater Show – Seaweed, Auqa, and Coral
It only seems fitting that the ocean colors of seaweed, aqua, and coral go together. Buried beneath the ocean these three colors make a stunning show for all to see. You can copy this beauty by using various shades of green to compliment the vibrant colors of aqua and coral.
Remember coral isn’t only for Jacksonville beach condos and resorts. Its bold color, found in many vivid shades, is becoming pleasingly powerful in interior design projects all over Jacksonville, FL
