WHAT’S IN:

1. Floral Fabrics and Wallpaper

Floral fabrics and wallpapers are making a comeback, and they are as beautiful as ever! Floral will be the pattern to use this coming year.

2. Boldly Patterned Backsplashes

In 2019, all designers will be gravitating towards kitchens that make a statement. You can add a pop of color to a kitchen with a bolder color choice or a “wow factor” tile on your backsplash.

3. Mixed Metal Accents

A mix of 2-3 metal accents used throughout a room is a way to create balance and definition. For example, brass or nickel accents mix well with oil rubbed bronze.

4. Light Wood Floors

Light wood floors are making a comeback, thanks to the people’s desire for more light and airy spaces. These light floors can transition from casual to luxurious easily!

5. Bold Walls

Customers are getting a lot more adventurous when it comes to color. Deep green is one of the top selling colors. We love seeing people incorporate rich bold colors into their homes!

WHAT’S OUT:

1. Tribal and Trellis Patterns

The tribal and trellis pattern does not keep up with the ever-changing trends, so people are ditching this for a simpler look that will last in your home.

2. Rooms with no Color or Texture

Mixing styles is becoming a common way to give a room personality! People are ditching the all white, or all same wood colored furniture, for a mixture of it all!

3. Accent Walls

Single- colored walls are making a comeback by creating a bigger impact for furnishings and fun decor!

4. Cherry Cabinets

Cherry cabinets are being ditched for painted cabinets! Painted cabinets are taking over modern and traditional kitchens, such as deep blues and grays.

5. Rose Gold

Rose gold has overstayed it’s welcome, who agrees?! Being such a specific look, it does not mesh as seemingly into home designs as polished nickel does!
