Make the Most of Fall Decorating Trends

As we transition into fall and all the beautiful warm colors and fabrics that come along with it, we wanted to share some of the most popular fall decorating trends.

We wouldn’t believe it if we didn’t see it for ourselves, but Natural Fibers are making an earthy statement. Homeowners are on a quest for more natural, eco-friendly materials, which has made natural fibers a sought after commodity in the design industry. Look to see leather, polyester blends, cotton, jute, silk, and rayon to be a big hit this fall.

Black is one of those timeless colors that never seem to go out of style. Whether in fall or in the heat of summer, this color can always find its way to a top ten list in home decorating. We’re seeing designers use black matte as a focal wall and paired with light-colored furnishings and accessories to reveal a dramatic effect.

The earthy desert tones of the southwest are making their way into homes, even here in Jacksonville. From burnt sienna to baked ochre, interior designers are using earthy color palettes more and more. Adding a touch of fall to a room is as simple as adding throw pillows, printed blankets, and area rugs. To bring fall colors to life play with mixing patterns, textures, and layouts to create inviting seating arrangements.

Designing a room that includes bold geometric shapes is one of the hottest fall design trends we’ve seen. They make a striking design statement and can fit into any design style. From the clean lines of contemporary to the refined traditional style, hexagons and diamonds are showing up everywhere. Take note; its best not to go overboard when adding geometrics shapes to a room. A little goes a long way in adding character and interest to a room.
