While we are all about staging your home from top to bottom, we also like to share a few simple things you can do to help sell it faster and improve its overall appeal.

Sometimes it’s the most inexpensive thing that makes the most significant impact.

• For less than a dollar, you can replace switch covers out easily. It’s a simple fix and one that is often overlooked.
• No matter if you think it strange or not, buyers open everything, including the microwave. Don’t overlook thoroughly cleaning the inside. The same goes for ovens and refrigerators.
• Walk around your home and open and shut every door. If it squeaks spray the hinge with WD40, if it sticks, fix it.
• Make a statement at the door. Add a vase of fresh flowers in the entryway or add a freshly planted pot of flowers on the stoop. Sweep or blow off all walkways and buy a new welcome mat for the front door.
• Add a shiny new door knocker and paint the front door with a fresh coat of paint. Even go as far as replacing worn and weathered house numbers with new ones.
• Again, buyers open anything that has a handle. Take time to clean out and organize all cupboards, cabinets, and pantries. Be sure to box away or hide any items that would be considered too personal to be seen.
• One of the biggest impacts of a home’s kitchen and bathrooms is new polished drawer pulls and knobs. They are reasonably inexpensive and easy to install.
• Sweep away all dust bunnies from window sills, ceiling fans, and lighting fixtures.
• A new shower curtain and towels make a big statement in a bathroom.
